NexyBay Home Records is a private home inventory app designed around local browser storage. Normal use does not require your household records to be uploaded to a NexyBay account or cloud database.

You decide when to create a backup, copy it to another location, restore it, or share information from your records.

What local storage means
Private by design does not mean risk-free
Local browser storage reduces the need to send household data to a remote account, but the records still depend on the security and reliability of your device, operating system, browser profile, and backups.
Someone who can access your unlocked device or browser profile may be able to view locally stored records. Use normal device security such as a strong login, current software updates, and appropriate physical protection.
Choose records carefully
Keep information that is useful for household organization. Avoid adding passwords, full Social Security numbers, bank credentials, payment card numbers, or other secrets that are not needed for the purpose of the app.
Protect backup files
Store backups on a trusted external drive, protected cloud folder, or another location you control. Do not keep the only backup beside the original data on the same device.
Use encryption appropriately
Choose a strong, memorable password for encrypted backups and keep it somewhere safe. A forgotten password may make the encrypted file unusable.
Review before sharing
Reports and exports can contain personal household information. Review them before sending, printing, or giving access to another person.

Support messages are different from app records
The Support & Feedback form sends the information you type to the website administrator by email. Do not paste private household records, passwords, backup files, financial account details, or other sensitive material into the form.
